Kildysart Holiday Homes Clare

Kildysart or Killadysart / Killadysert is a small village in County Clare situated on the north bank of the Shannon estuary on the coastal route between Ennis and Kilrush. The village faces Shannon Airport on the other side of the mouth of the River Fergus. It also looks out on a number of islands in the Shannon Estuary.

Recently re-branded as ‘The Fisherman’s Haven’ Kildysart is famed for the excellent fishing amenities nearby. There is coarse fishing in the Shannon Estuary and trout fishing in the local lake of Gortglass which is only 5 minutes from the village.

The Shannon Estuary is well known for the variety of fish on offer, from conger, skate, greater and lesser dogfish, Pollock, thorn back rya, flounder, tope to name but a few. You can choose to fish off Cahercon Pier or alternatively a boat can be chartered in Kildysart which will take you along the Estuary.

Each year the village hosts it’s Cultural Festival which takes place during the month of July.
