Dunlewey Holiday Homes
Dún Lúiche is a small rural community in the Donegal Gaeltacht, located in rugged scenery at the foot of Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in the County. The lure of Errigal mountain with it’s panoramic views of northwest Donegal will delight the novice and experienced hiker alike. The Dunlewey Centre is an impressive lakeside farm museum and visitor centre at the base of Mount Errigal. Nearby Glenveagh National Park is well worth a visit.
Standing on the peak on a clear day one can view as far as the eye can see in all directions taking in Tory Island to the North, Gola Island to the West and the Poisoned Glen to the southeast. The renowned Poisoned Glen with it’s resident ghost ‘The Green Lady’ gives a sense of mystery to the place. This area is primarily Irish speaking (Gaeltacht area) but English is also spoken by the local people..
