Rathmullan Holiday Homes Donegal

Rathmullan village is located on the western shores of Lough Swilly and has arguably one of the finest beaches in the county. The surrounding countryside is a mixture of broadleaf wood and farmland with Croghan Hill forming a dramatic backdrop.

The village looks across the Lough towards the village of Fahan and Inishowen’s largest town, Buncrana. Letterkenny, County Donegal’s largest town, is located 15 miles to the south.

Nearby attractions include Fanad Lighthouse – one of the Wild Atlantic Way’s Signature Points.

It was from Rathmullan that the last great chieftains left Ireland in the year 1607 – an event commemorated in The Flight of the Earl’s Centre in the centre of the village. Today the village is a very popular holiday destination with a great selection of holiday homes and the noted Rathmullan House Hotel.
