Glengad Holiday Homes Donegal
A traditional fishing village located some 10 miles from Ireland’s most northerly point, Malin Head. This whole area and its people have a close affinity with the sea – the rugged landscape looks out over the Atlantic Ocean with views of Inishtrahull and Rathlin Islands and further out to sea to the western islands of Scotland.
The village is an ideal base for a touring holiday of Inishowen and with the new car ferries at Greencastle and Buncrana you can travel with ease across the whole of the northern part of Ireland. Attractions in the area include Doagh Island Famine Village and Oakfield Park as well as Historic Walled City of Derry
For the golf enthusiast the magnificent links course at Ballyliffin is a short drive away while other attractions in the area include, the Famine Village at Doagh Island, the Maritime Museum at Greencastle and the Guns of Dunree. A day trip to the historic City of Derry is also highly recommended.
