Lifford Holiday Homes Donegal
Lifford is the entry point for many visitors coming from Northern Ireland and the East Coast. Lifford is the County seat and formerly a vital railhead. Its main buildings of interest are the magnificently restored Courthouse in the Diamond and the Church of Ireland nearby. the Historic Walled City of Derry is a 25 min drive northwards.
The little town is on the western bank of the River Foyle, just below where the rivers Finn, Derg and Mourne combine to form the North-West’s most important river. It is so close to the much larger town of Strabane, on the other side of the river, county and international boundary, that is almost a suburb.
Attractions in the area include Doagh Island Famine Village and Oakfield Park as well as Historic Walled City of Derry
The town has a multiplex cinema, a recently modernised greyhound racing track, and other amenities which attract cross-border visitors.
